Elope in Las Vegas!

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Yeah, that’s not a thing🤷🏼‍♀️ However if you want to elope in Las Vegas, that’s a very good thing. Whether you’re looking seal the deal with Vegas city lights or you are wanting to head to the desert for the yummy blue hour, you may be wondering how to elope in Vegas. Well I’d love to tell you you can just walk in and say “I do” there are a few more steps. On the bright side by the end of this you’ll either know exactly what to do or you will pawn it off on me.😉

Best time of year to elope in Las Vegas

The best time of year to elope in Vegas is definitely during the winter. Not only is the temperature more comfortable, but it’s also a great time to take advantage of the holiday decorations in the city. The lights, festive decorations, and snow-capped mountains in the distance make for an incredibly romantic atmosphere. Summers in Vegas can be unbearable, with temperatures often reaching well over 100 degrees and little to no shade. That’s why planning ahead and picking the winter months is the best option for a Vegas elopement.

The Best places to elope in Las Vegas

Las Vegas is a great place for eloping with so many options for a romantic escape. You can elope in the city, in a hotel like the Bellagio or the Venetian, or find a quiet chapel in a residential area. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, you can elope in one of the many stunning desert locations around Las Vegas, one of my favorites being Red Rock Canyon! With the right photographer/videographer, you can get beautiful photos of your special day in any of these places. So many romantic possibilities await!

LICENSE AND PERMITS

If you’re looking to elope in Las Vegas, the process is quite simple. You and your partner must both be at least 18 years old, and you’ll need to bring valid IDs, such as a passport, driver’s license, or social security card. You’ll also need to pay the marriage license fee of $77 in cash, credit card, cashier’s check, money order, or traveler’s check. You can download the marriage license application from the Clark County Marriage Bureau’s website, but you must be present to hand it in. To avoid disappointment, be sure to call ahead and check their hours of operation. Plus, there’s no waiting period – you can get your license and get married on the same day!

There you have it! The process of planning an elopement is quite simple, but the most fun part is the curation of your perfect Vegas elopement with all the activities and special touches that make it truly unique. Brainstorm ideas for activities that you and your partner enjoy, and make sure to consider the location’s availability and restrictions. Consider adding a few special touches, like incorporating sentimental items. Making the most of your elopement also means taking the time to savor every moment, from the small details to the big ones. With careful planning and creativity, you can craft the perfect elopement that you will remember for years to come.
